Halloween Costumes for Grandkids

Halloween Costumes for the Grandkids

I've been making my grandchildren's costumes since 2005.  To those who know me it comes as no surprise how much I love Halloween.  Every year since 2005 my darling daughter-in-law Aimy and son Isaac have hosted a big party for all the Jackson and Chappell families and neighborhood kids.  Aimy makes a big vat of Chili and yummy cornbread and all the dad's take the kids out in the neighborhood to trick-or-treat.  You can click on the sub-tabs on the right-menu or click on each picture below for all the photos.

Halloween 2005:  the year it all started.  It was only Reilly, Gaby and Sydney at this point.  Click here to see the pictures.

Halloween 2006:  I bought more and more decorations--some might say I was out of control but I did it for art!  This year featured Sydney's Dorothy costume which I think has been my overall favorite ever.  Click here to see the pictures.

Halloween 2007:  The youngest grandchild, Killian, made his 1st appearance this year--as a little mouse.  Click here to see the photos.

Halloween 2008:  We had some 70+ people at this year's party--I even wore a costume.  Click here to the photos.

Halloween 2009:  Halloween was on a Saturday night this year.  Killian had to bribed with candy to get him into his costume.  Click here to see the photos.

Halloween 2010:  this was the year I moved from San Francisco back to Seattle.  I was rehabing my mom's house at the same time I was making the costumes.  Click here to see the photos.

Halloween 2011:  the weather was perfect this year.  Halloween was on a Monday night so the attendance was a little smaller than other years but still great fun.   Click here to see the photos.

Halloween 2012:  we got rainy weather and a smaller crowd since it's a weeknight but spirits were high and fun had by all.  Click here to see the photos.
