The
Davis Family History
I've always been interested in the Keeler-Davis family history and once I found Ancestry.com I became totally hooked on this. I'm researching all branches of the family but have started with the Davis side of the family. A couple of my Uncles (my mom's brothers) did a lot of initial work and I found them while going through some of my mom's papers. This is a work in progress as I've only gotten through to my great-great-great grandfather Simeson Davis. Watch for more to come and if you are a family member and have any additional information, please feel free to contact me at the email address below. Click on the photo to the right to begin.
Halloween
- 2008
This was the biggest party yet--we think we had over 70 adults and kids. Isaac and I talked about renting a tent next year to put out on the deck to expand the party space. Killian got to go out and trick or treat this time (last year he fell asleep) and the kids all looked great. See the photos here.
Woodland
Park Zoo Visit - 2008
Aimy and I took the kids to the Woodland Park Zoo--it was raining very lightly--most other kids were in school so it was not very crowdd at all. They finally moved the Grizzly and Brown bears out of that horrible grotto from when I was a kid and put them in a large outdoor enclosure complete with a pool stocked wtih salmon and trout they can fish for. Aimy also visited her "fifth child"--look at the picture and you'll see what I mean---it's the 5th Chappell. See the photos here.
The
Family Newsletter
I thought a nice family newsletter would be another way we can all keep in touch with one another. Click here for the latest issue in PDF format. I also have a list of everyone's birthday here so we can be sure to wish everyone congratulations on their special day.
Mom's 80th Birthday Party - March 2008
Mom
celebrated her 80th birthday on March 20th. All of us Keeler kids got
together and threw her a nice little birthday bash in Seattle. It's
been quite a while since all of us have been together in one place.
After the party most of us went bowling out at Robin Hood Lanes in Edmonds---I'd
forgotten how much fun bowling is---I suck at bowling, but it was fun
nonetheless! See the photos here.

Scrapbooking and Photoshop Work
I've got started getting into creating digital scrapbook pages and really learning all the things you can do with Photoshop. I created a page on my first granddaughter Gabrielle (Gaby) and then have beene experimenting with Adobe Photoshop and all the things you can do with this great program.. See the results so far here.
Halloween
- 2007
It just gets better and better each year! Aimy's chili and cornbread is always a hit and the kids had a great time. Sydney was a little reluctant to join in the fun until the first house and the first bit of candy hit her bag---then she was off and running with the big kids to get her fair share. Gaby was a Pirate, Sydney and Witch and Reilly was Bobba Fett (though he moved to fast for me to get any good pictures this year). See the pictures here.
Seattle
Trip Aug-Sept - 2007
Took a couple of trips up to Seattle in August and September. In August I got to babysit for the weekend, what fun! We went to a Taste of Edmonds and took Great Grandma to her favorite place down at Golden Gardens -- Little Coney. Photos here.
Adrianne
& Ben Visit - July 2007
Tony's lovely daughter Adrianne and her fiance Ben came out for a visit from Stanardsville, Virginia (that's near Charlottesville). We all went down to Monterey for a couple of days and had a wonderful time going to the Salinas Rodeo and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. See our pictures here.
Halloween
- 2006
It was lots of fun working with Gaby and Reilly to find out what they wanted to be this year. However, Grandma got her heart broken when her granddaughter Gaby found the fabric store to be very, very boring---imagine that. I made her laugh when I told her both her daddy and Uncle Mike hate the fabric store to this day! After that whenever she was 'bad' I threatened her with taking her back to the fabric store. See pictures here. Here's 2006's slide show--turn up the sound! Be patient, it's a huge file.
Halloween
- 2005
It's become official--Halloween at the Chappell's is my big event up North! I made the costumes for the kids and helped decorate the yard and house for a neighborhood get together. Aimy makes her famous chili and cornbread and the kids all went out to houses nearby to make their candy run. See photos here or watch a "scary" slide show of their costumes here--turn up your sound!
Seattle
Trip - November 2004
Gaby was just a little baby and Tony was stationed at Fort Lewis. We stayed in a beautiful B&B right next door to my sister Jody and Monica's house in Dash Point (near Tacoma). Tony was leaving in a couple of weeks for Kosovo.
Seattle
Trip - 2001
Tony and I took a trip up to Seattle to see little Sydney, our third grandchild. We drove home by way of the Oregon Coast and didn't realize how much longer that trip would take---but it was absolutely gorgeous!
